Guest Lecture on Social Entrepreneurship with Profit
On 6th July 2012
Tecnia Institute of Applied studies had organized a guest lecture on Social Entrepreneurship with Profit in Tecnia Campus on July 6th, 2012 at 11:00 am which was organized by Mr. Vipul Pratap event coordinator.
Prof. Rajesh Bajaj was the chief program convener. Academically Prof. Bajaj is an electrical engineer with Post Graduation (M.Tech from IIT Delhi). He shared his knowledge and experience with students on Social Entrepreneurship. Social entrepreneurship is the recognition of a social problem and the uses of entrepreneurial principles to organize, create and manage a social venture to achieve a desired social change. While a business entrepreneur typically measures performance in profit and return, a social entrepreneur also measures positive returns to society. Thus, the main aim of social entrepreneurship is to further broaden social, cultural, and environmental goals. Session was highly effective and knowledgeable for both Post-Graduate as well as Graduate Students other than the class room lecture. The knowledge which he shared with students was incredible which will be helpful for the students in their practical life.
At the end of the session, vote of thanks was given by Ms Aashima Sharma to our honorable chief guest Prof. Rajesh Bajaj and all the faculty and staff members of Tecnia Institute of Applied Studies and last but not the least our students for their participation and co-operation.
Therefore, the overall event was successful and all the faculty and staff members participated in organizing the guest lecture. The institute is planning to organize such kind of lectures in future as well.
